Book of Genesis: Chapter 34: Dinah is Defiled. Jacob's Sons Kill & Plunder Schechem

Today, we are reading from the Book of Genesis, Chapter 34. The chapter unfolds with Dinah, the daughter of Jacob and Leah, finding herself in a perilous situation being defiled by Shechem, a local prince. What follows is a complex tale of love, deception, and the lengths to which Dinah's brothers, Simeon and Levi, will go to defend her honor.

When attempts to resolve the situation with marriage proposals and negotiations fail, a violent ending ensues, unraveling the fine line between justice and vengeance.
